Conventional toothbrushes are made from a variety of different hard plastics, high-density polyethylene, and nylon. It will take more than 500 years to fully break down according to U.S. National Environmental Organizations. While bamboo toothbrush handles made from natural bamboo, it will take only around six months to break down.
